Prosciutto Carbonara

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
½ Pack McLean Prosciutto, chopped
100 g Pasta of choice
3 Eggs
½ Cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
1 Tbsp. Butter (optional)
Salt and Black Pepper

Directions

Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve a small amount of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

In a bowl, whisk together eggs and grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.

In a pan over medium heat, sauté McLean Prosciutto until lightly crisp. Add butter if using and allow it to melt.

Reduce heat to low and add the warm pasta to the pan. Toss gently to combine.

Remove from heat and immediately add the egg and cheese mixture, stirring quickly to create a smooth, creamy sauce. Add a splash of reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan if desired.
