Carbonara is an Italian pasta dish from Rome made with egg, hard cheese, Italian bacon, and pepper. The recipe is not fixed, with any sort of hard cheese and any kind of pasta being acceptable. Our McLean version uses our famous “CLEAN & LEAN” Turkey Bacon, but feel free to substitute with our nitrite free and humane certified Applewood Smoked Bacon or Hickory Smoked Bacon. If you use the pork bacon you don’t need to add butter.
